Two arrested after Belfast hit and run incidents

Two men have been arrested after a stolen car collided with several other vehicles in Belfast on Friday morning.

The first collision happened around 10.55am when the stolen VW Jetta struck a Hyundai i20 on the Whiterock Road. A short time later the same VW collided with another car on the Monagh By-pass.

The two men, aged 21 and 24, were detained at the Broadway Roundabout after leaving the scene of a collision at Kennedy Way.

It is understood the VW Golf was stolen from the Joanmount Drive, north Belfast area at around 5:30am on Friday morning.

The male driver of the Hyundai was taken to hospital for injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
