Two men who were arrested by police in Londonderry on Saturday were released on Sunday night without charge.

The men, aged 36 years and 42 years, were taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite where they were quizzed by detectives from the PSNI’s serious crime branch investigating dissident republican activity.

However they were not charged and police announced on Sunday evening that they had been released.

No further information about the identity of the men, or what exactly they were being questioned about had been released on Sunday night.
