Two men who died in Co Tyrone crash are named

The two men who died in a serious one vehicle crash in Co Tyrone have been named as 23-year-old Grant Archer and 28-year-old Robert Wilkinson.

The accident happened on the Old Coagh Road, Cookstown, in the early hours of today.

A PSNI spokesman said Mr Archer came from Newmills and Mr Wilkinson from Cookstown.

Police would appeal to anyone with any information or anyone who witnessed the accident to contact Cookstown Police Station on the new non emergency number 101.

UUP Councillor for the area Trevor Wilson said: “Locals have told me the accident happened around 4am.

“This is terribly sad news for any family on a Mothering Sunday.

“And it is dreadful news for the people of the Cookstown area to wake up to.”
