Ulster Unionist leader Mike Nesbitt has appealed for information over vandalism in Newtownards.
Mr Nesbitt, who is an MLA for Strangford, said: “On Monday afternoon police were alerted to an incident at Castle Gardens Primary School on the Bowtown Road in Newtownards, in which four buses were broken into and vandalised, with property also being stolen.
“I utterly deplore this incident of mindless vandalism. What enjoyment could anyone get out of such behaviour? Why should scarce resources be wasted on having to clear up this mess rather than be spent on classrooms and materials?”
He said he “fully” endorsed police calls for information.
