Video: Portadown College teachers ‘Happy’ with YouTube hit

Waiting for Video...

The staff at one Co Armagh school have been keen to express just how ‘Happy’ they are at work - with a YouTube video that has amassed more than 10,000 hits so far.

Every teacher and general member of staff at Portadown College can be seen singing and dancing their way around the premises for a specially made video to the tune of Pharrell Williams’ number one hit ‘Happy’.

The filming and production of the video was a collaborative project between teacher Joanne Coen, GSCE student Curtis Gibson and Upper Sixth pupil Daniel Ritchie, and has been a big hit online since being uploaded at the beginning of the week.

After a lot of evenings and lunchtimes spent editing the video over the space of four and a half weeks the final product was unveiled to unsuspecting students at the annual inter-house music competition on Monday.

“It’s done even better than I expected, I never thought as many people would have viewed it already,” Curtis told the Portadown Times.
