Willie Frazer calls for arrest of Martin McGuinness

Willie Frazer

Willie Frazer

Speaking from his cell Willie Frazer has called for the arrest of First Minister Martin McGuinness.

Mr Frazer was arrested on Wednesday by police investigating the disorder surrounding the flag demonstrations in recent months.

The victims’ campaigner and prominent protestor is said to be adamant he will not accept bail and will have to be “physically removed” from his cell by police if they want him to leave the station. He called for McGuinness’ arrest in a post on Facebook.

It is understood there will be a protest outside Musgrave police station, where the 52-year-old is being questioned, at 7pm on Thursday.

Some people gathered to protest on Wednesday night, for which Mr Frazer thanked them.
