A woman was injured in a blast bomb attack, during which two of her pet dogs also suffered, in north Belfast on Sunday night.

The 44-year-old was left with cuts to her leg after the device was thrown at the front door of her home in Thorburn Road, Greencastle at around 9.45pm.

The dogs, a Poodle and an Akita, suffered injuries during the incident.

A dark coloured car possibly a Ford Focus was seen driving away from the scene towards the Serpentine Road.

Anyone who witnessed the attack or who knows of the whereabouts of the dark car is asked to contact police at Tennent Street on 0845 600 8000.
