A woman has been left badly shaken after her car was hijacked by three men in Dunmurry.

The incident happened in the Brians Well Road area of Dunmurry yesterday at 6.35pm.

A PSNI spokesman said the woman had been driving a black Vauxhall Zafira.

“When she slowed down, three males approached the car,” he said. “The three males all had their faces covered with scarves. One of the males demanded that she get out of the car and it is thought that he may have been armed with a knife. The three males made off in the car which was later found on fire in the Summerhill Road area.”

Anyone who may have seen the car in the area or who knows anything about this incident is asked to contact CID at Lisburn Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
