Woman ‘shaken’ after hijacking in Belfast

A woman has been left ‘shaken’ after her car was hijacked in the Hawthorne Street area of west Belfast last night.

Police have revealed that the woman was pulled from a black Peugeot 3008 by a man described as tall and wearing a hat and dark clothing shortly after 9pm.

The culprit then made off in the car which is thought to have been driven past Queen’s University later the same night.

A PSNI spokesman said: “The woman was not physically harmed during the incident but is said to be shaken up as a result of the hijacking.”
