Two women have been targeted in two separate carjacking attempts in Belfast.
On Saturday evening, two men approached a car in Royal Avenue area in the city centre and ordered a female driver out of the vehicle.
The woman managed to drive off from the scene and neither her nor a female passenger were injured in the incident but the vehicle was slightly damaged.
Another attempted hijacking on a female driver was reported in the Ava Street area off the Ormeau Road at 11.30pm.
A masked man in dark clothing approached her with a suspected firearm and ordered her out of the vehicle. The woman also escaped after driving away from the scene.
She was not injured but was left badly shaken.
