Severe weather warning issued for Northern Ireland

The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning of ice for Northern Ireland.

The yellow status warning was issued shortly before 10.30am on Monday.

The warning is valid from 6.00pm on Monday through to 10am on Tuesday.

Temperatures are expected to dip below zero on Monday evening and on Tuesday morning.

The Met Office said ice is expected to form overnight leading to difficult driving conditions on untreated roads and slippery conditions on pavements.
