:: SIMON COWELL, who was in Belfast this week for the first round of Britain’s Got Talent open auditions, held at the Waterfront Hall after co-presenters Ant and Dec enjoyed a pint in the Duke of York pub, was met with hordes of screaming fans and BGT hopefuls, only to show his nastier side when telling one wannabe he has had enough of sob stories on the primetime ITV talent show.

The 54-year-old talent show judge – known as Mr Nasty – apparently told a wannabe at the Belfast auditions he was bored by her claim that singing helped her through tough times.

According to The Metro Simon said: “I’ve heard the sob story before.

“Not many people can come to a stage and sing like that. I am bored of these sob stories now. I hate to sound harsh but I am.”

And even fellow judge AMANDA HOLDEN, who is often more sensitive and known to tear-up during auditions added: “Everyone has got struggles. You just need to stand on that stage and sing.”

:: ABBEY CLANCY has confessed a diet of junk food helped fuel her Strictly Come Dancing win.

The 28-year-old model and her dancing partner ALJAZ SKORJANEC are taking to the road for the Strictly Live tour after claiming the glitterball trophy in the 2013 dance competition.

Abbey, who claims she has never exercised, revealed junk food was the secret to their success.

Aljaz revealed: “I think we ate something unhealthy every single day, we did rehearse a lot, so we had to eat something heavy to keep us going, so I think that was the key of success, junk food and bad food.”

Abbey laughed: “You need the energy!”

And despite her slender physique, Abbey insists she has never exercised before Strictly.

:: BILL MURRAY has revealed that he signed on for the Garfield films by mistake.

The Lost In Translation star admitted he agreed to voice the animated cat in the big-screen adaptation of Jim Davis’s comic strips, because he mistook the writer Joel Cohen for being one of the COEN BROTHERS in an Ask Me Anything interview on Reddit.

“I love the Coen brothers movies. I think that Joel Coen is a wonderful comedic mind,” he said.

:: KIM KARDASHIAN and KANYE WEST are thought to be planning a lavish wedding in Paris’s Palace of Versailles.

The couple are currently in the French capital and Kim posted a video on Twitter of a private tour they had of Versailles after dark. The video shows the famous Hall of Mirrors filled with twinkling candlelit chandeliers, sparking rumours Kim and Kanye are thinking of exchanging vows in the grand venue.

The couple, who have been friends since childhood, have a seven-month-old daughter North together. They became engaged in October last year when Kanye popped the question at a San Francisco stadium, but so far they have not confirmed a date for the wedding.

:: DREW BARRYMORE has revealed she doesn’t regret any of her wild child past.

The Charlie’s Angels star, who rose to fame after starring in STEVEN SPIELBERG’s ET, experienced rather troubled teenage years. She went to rehab at the age of 13 for alcohol and drug abuse, attempted suicide, and became emancipated from her parents at age 15.

She told ABC News: “I celebrate that I had any sense of freedoms at a certain point, because I don’t feel like that now. I love the very exposed, humorous, imperfect, never trying to pretend to be perfect journey that I have been on in my life.”

“I have no regrets in my life whatsoever. I’m psyched about it all. I’m just in such a different mind frame. I’m in mum mode now.”
