Former BBC news anchor Sarah Travers will join UTV this week to front a new magazine show entitled The Magazine.
The Magazine with Sarah Travers will be a series of 20 programmes which will visit locations and people across Northern Ireland in a quest to bring quirky stories to viewers.
While Sarah will host the show, she will also be joined each week by local celebrities and media personalities who will catch up with her as she gets out and about.
Michael Wilson, Managing Director, UTV Television, said: “I am delighted that Sarah is joining the UTV family. She comes to us from the more formal world of news so this show will really let Sarah’s natural warmth and personality shine through for viewers.
“The Magazine will be new with a sharp, fresh and appealing style. It’s about the people, the places and the details that make life interesting in Northern Ireland.”
Sarah Travers said: “I can’t wait to get started on The Magazine. It’s going to be a fun and exciting show and something quite different to what I’ve been doing up to now.
“I have a real zest for life and want to bring the Northern Ireland great sense of humour to life in this series.
“We’re casting a wide net across life in Northern Ireland and I’m very interested to see what great variety and character is in our catch!”
The Magazine with Sarah Travers: starts Easter Sunday, March 31, at 7.30pm on UTV.
