Ulster Hall Festival 2013 plans underway

THE fourth annual Ulster Bands Forum and Belfast News Letter Festival of Marching Bands has recently taken place, and once again proved very successful.

Plans are already afoot for the 2013 event, and with that the organisers are appealing for feedback, ideas and suggestions from bands, band members and band enthusiasts from across Ulster.

The scene is very vibrant, and it is very important that this annual showcase fulfils its full potential in promoting and raising awareness about the massive Ulster Band scene. This year the night had the added attraction of an Ulster Covenant exhibition, provided by the Antrim Community Trust and funded by Antrim Borough Council. Its own year of travel has seen over 8000 people learning about the historic event and signing a replica copy of the original document, and its appearance at the Ulster Hall in this 100th anniversary year was a fitting end to its 2012. Other such historic references may well be included in the Festival in the future. If you have any thoughts on the concert, please contact Quincey on 07835624221 or email kvfb@yahoo.com.
