Victims of Colonel Gaddafi’s brutal regime from Northern Ireland, England and Libya met yesterday in the Foreign Office in London.
Docklands bomb victim Jonathan Ganesh welcomed the Libyan delegation as “a symbol of hope in their unprecedented courage that not only liberated Libya but also freed the world of a brutal dictator”. Victims’ spokesman Willie Frazer, who attended the meeting, said “we heard horrific accounts of Libyan suffering”. “The people in Libya are starting to get compensated for what happened to them, whereas we are not,” he said.
The Libyan delegation will tomorrow meet Ulster victims in Belfast.
