Firefighters have left the scene of a blaze at a recycling plant in Co Londonderry - more than 24 hours after it first began.
Forty firefighters are were called to the Peak Environmental Recycling Plant in Campsie on Tuesday morning.
Eighteen officers then remained at the scene throughout the night in an attempt to extinguish the blaze. The building collapsed in on itself and firefighters used the owner’s digger to tackle the blaze.
A 200 metre exclusion zone was put in place in the area, where five fire trucks and four specialist appliances were in attendance.
Residents in the surrounding area were advised to close their windows throughout the incident due to toxic fumes being released by the fire .
