In 2012, it was within days of being declared dangerous.

In this seven-minute film, the Belfast Buildings Trust shows the £1.5m emergency work that has been done to former ministers and parishioners.

The video features people including the daughter of the late unionist Stormont MP, Austin Ardill, the son of the late NI Labour MP Vivian Simpson and the mother of the TV anchorwoman Andrea Catherwood.

Hear them all talk about their memories, and see the saved interior of one of Belfast’s finest buildings.
