A four car collision on the Westlink has now been cleared, a PSNI spokesman has confirmed.
Earlier a Tweet from @PSNI Road Policing said the collision had taken place "on the Westlink on the Belfast bound lane close to the Falls Rd off-slip".
Motorists had been asked to reduce their speed to 30MPH.
A PSNI spokesman later said: "Just after 1.20pm on Monday 13 February, police received a report of a road traffic collision involving several vehicles on the citybound side of the Westlink, near the Divis on-slip.
"The speed limit was reduced to 30pmh for safety reasons and the road traffic collision was cleared just after 3.30pm."
