Another nail in the EU coffin

Like Martin Luther King, I too had a dream.

I had a dream that the European Union would collapse, and on Monday morning I was pleasantly delighted, when I heard another nail was hammered in the coffin of the EU, with the result of the election in Italy.

Included in my dream, I envisaged seeing my country, (Ireland) becoming an independent nation once again, bonded in unison, where the people of these four islands (England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales) can employ to a global advantage, the cultural, social and economic issues that already exist between them.

Surely the time has arrived, for the politicians of the above four countries to come to their senses, and commence “testing the water”, (to use an expression) on what course of action they should adopt, when the EU collapses.

The politicians of the four countries must see that nothing in the political field is guaranteed, as even one unfavourable result in the coming elections in France and Germany would surely be the final nail in the EU coffin ?

Roll on the collapse of the EU is all I can say.
