News of the papal visit has obscured the pardons for gays

The potential papal visit is justly getting attention in here but a different compromise took place on Monday when Protestants in our NI Assembly forgot how to protest at the legitimising of homosexual sin through pardons.

“Ah” but you say “no one voted for it.” No, they were prepared to allow MPs to pass it because they were not bold enough. Pray that our politicians will get a backbone and not compromise the Gospel by ignoring sin which separates man from God.

Scripture says in Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

I trust the church and parachurch organisations will be equally bold and vociferous and not acquiesce because of family or political ties.
