Have your say

As a member of the UK delegation on the Committee of the Regions, I unreservedly condemn the Brussels attacks.

The indiscriminate nature of this type of terrorism will resonate with many people in Northern Ireland who remember well the tactics deployed by the IRA throughout the Troubles.

On a personal level I am relieved to learn that our staff on the Committee of the Regions and the Northern Ireland Executive office in Brussels were not caught up in these murderous and cowardly attacks.

My thoughts and prayers are with all those who were affected and the people of Belgium.
