BY plane, train and automobile Glentoran supporters are determined to be in attendance for their team's Setanta Cup final battle with Cork.
Speaking to the News Letter website, avid fan Michael Ralph is confident his beloved team will be lifting the silverware come the final whistle on Saturday evening.
Despite a daunting 260 miles from the heart of east Belfast, around 1,100 supporters, who have been lucky enough to get a match ticket, will be making their presence felt at the Turner's Cross stadium - home of opponents Cork City.
While Glentoran officials have aired their discontent at the ticket allocation and choice of stadium, given their opponents have home advantage, Michael is looking forward to the club's biggest game in recent years and their debut in the final of the All-Ireland competition.
The 20-year-old, who is a member of the Internet Glentoran Supporters' Club, says east Belfast is buzzing in anticipation.
The Dundonald man revealed such is the interest he has heard of one supporter who is travelling from Australia especially for the match.
However, he believes Alan McDonald's side need to be wary of the threat posed by the League of Ireland outfit.
Always an optimist and fearing a long and depressing journey home, Michael is predicting victory for his side and has even forecasted who the winning goalscorer will be.
Win or lose, one thing is for sure that Glentoran supporters are going to enjoy their moment in the spotlight.
