ULSTER'S young people are today urging politicians to shape a society free from intolerance.
A group of over 30 teenagers, aged between 14 and 17, are to meet with Junior Ministers Jeffrey Donaldson and Gerry Kelly in Belfast.
Children and Young People's Commissioner, Patricia Lewsley, will also attend the event, which has been organised by Save the Children.
They will raise themes that emerged from a recent survey in which children were asked what kind of society they wanted to live in as part of the 2007 Northern Ireland Young Life and Times Survey.
Equal rights and a society free from discrimination and racism were cited as just a few of the responses the survey received.
Save the Children spokeswoman Alex Tennant said: "It is vital that political representatives make a point of listening to the opinions of children and young people."
