Belfast Harlequins 22
Belfast Harlequins got their hands on the First Trust Ulster Senior Cup with a deserved 22-17 victory over Ballymena.
Leading 16-0 at the interval, with a try from Darren Cave and three penalties and a conversion from Willem Slabbert.
Ballymena clawed their way back into the game with a well worked try through Brian Mitchell, converted by Woods and although there was another chance spurned, Peter Budina followed a Paul Campbell kick through to touchdown.
Slabbert, who had earlier dropped a goal steadied the Belfast ship with a penalty.
Woods brought the Braidmen within range again, slotting over a penalty from the left touchline, but they were unable to get the ball out of their own half in the final minutes.
The victory completed a double for Harlequins having already secured the Ulster League title.
