NORTHERN Ireland will play Hungary in a Nationwide International at Windsor Park on November 19.
Nigel Worthington has secured the fixture against the eastern European side – which comes in the middle of a four-month break in the World Cup qualifiers.

Hungary – managed by former Holland star Erwin Koeman – last played in Belfast eight years ago when they claimed a 1-0 victory, and have won all three fixtures against Northern Ireland.

The Irish Football Association had been trying to lure Italy to Windsor in November, but it is now hoped the World champions will honour a fixture in Belfast in 2009.

Northern Ireland play Scotland on August 20 in a friendly at Hampden Park, before kicking off their World Cup qualifying campaign in Slovakia on September 6.
