ANTRIM, have made a number of changes ahead of Saturday's hurling qualifier clash against Waterford.
The Saffrons were clinically dismantled by Galway last week and desperately need to put in a good display.

Cormac Donnelly has been moved from corner forward to centre back while Karl McKeegan and Eddie McCloskey are the new midfield partnership.

Neil McGarry is called up at corner back with James McKeague dropping to the subs bench.

Antrim are still without the injured Michael Magill and Paddy McGill while the decision to cut Liam Watson from the squad has left the management with few options.

"We had a good chat about Saturday's game and we got a favourable reaction from the players," said joint manager Terence McNaughton.

"We know none of us can hide away from this game and that we have to take ownership of it."

In other hurling news Down get their Christy Ring Cup campaign up and running with a visit to London today.

Down are one of the favourites for the title and if they are to live up to that billing they must see off the challenge of the exiles. Carlow were comprehensive winners over London in the first outing, and The Mourne men should wrap up victory.

Derry, defeated by Kildare last weekend, are also in action today in an all Ulster clash with Armagh.

The Orchard County lost a close league encounter between the sides back in March by a single point and could spring an upset this time around.

In the Nicky Rackard Cup, Fermanagh begin their campaign with a trip to Carrick-on-Shannon to face Leitrim. Leitrim lost their opener to Non Ards and need a win to keep their season alive.

It's the same scenario for Cavan who face Warwickshire after losing last week to Sligo.
