INSTITUTE boss John Gregg has warned his players of complacency ahead of today's Premiership clash with managerless Dungannon Swifts.
Harry Fay was sacked by the Stangmore Park board on Thursday night after a lacklustre start to the season.
Sitting second from bottom with only two points, the need for a welcome revival in fortunes is paramount.
Former player James Slater take
s up the reins on a caretaker basis for today’s game, but Stute counterpart Gregg is taking nothing for granted against the strugglers.
“The thing I worry about is complacency, so I hope the players don’t fall into that trap,” he said.
“We have enjoyed two great results at Newry (1-1 draw) and Glenavon (1-0 win) so we want to build on that.
“It is important my players realise the intensity that is needed in every game we play. We need to maintain our momentum if we want to coninue progressing. We have moved up the table with the four points gained in the past week, but we have to build on that in the weeks ahead.
“It is especially important on Saturday because we are at home, and your home form can dictate so much during the course of the season.
“So we will be keen to get a positive result on Saturday against Dungannon.”
