Glenavon boss Stephen McBride is hoping new signing Ryan Harpur can spur the Lurgan Blues to success in the weeks ahead.
The former Portadown and Everton midfielder has signed to the end of the season, and is straight into the squad for today’s trip to Dungannon Swifts.

It is a clash where both teams will be desperate for victory, with Dungannon second from bottom in the Premiership and Glenavon one point better off in 10th.

“Ryan has been training with us in recent weeks and we are delighted to have him signed. It has bolstered our numbers which is important,” McBride said.

“He will also bring some added quality to the squad, and with the injuries we have at present it is a welcome addition.

“We go to Dungannon needing a wee bit of luck, but it will be another difficult test.

“Every game is important this season, regardless of league positions. Every team is hard to beat.”
