Belfast fighter McCarthy ready to do a number on rival in Glasgow clash
Tommy McCarthy is looking forward to fighting Jon Lewis-Dickinson in a British title eliminator in Glasgow on May 28
The Belfast cruiserweight’s fight will be live on Sky Sports and McCarthy says this is the fight he needs at this stage of his career.
“It’s another step up in class. He has won a British title outright and he won the Prizefighter, so it’s a good name to have on my record. I fancy it big time, if I didn’t I wouldn’t have accepted the fight.
“I fancy myself to win well, win big and push on to the next level again. These are exciting times and it is up to me to deliver the goods,” he added.
