Frampton claimed the two world titles by seeing off Scott Quigg in Manchester at the end of February and he now wants to face WBA featherweight champion Santa Cruz in the coming months.

“We want the Santa Cruz fight in the summer and he says he wants and we are both with Al Haymon - so the fight could be easily made.

“The fight would have to be at featherweight for his world title and because he is the world champion - we cannot make too many demands but I would love to fight him at Windsor Park in August.

“Hopefully he will come and people think there is more money to be made in America but that is not the case.

“It is all about selling tickets and we could sell-out Windsor and I think Santa Cruz can make loads of money if he comes here. So hopefully that fight can be made,” added Frampton.

Santa Cruz is a three weight World champion but ‘The Jackal’ believes it would be a great encounter.

“It would be a clash of styles and I think it would be a cracker of a fight. It will not be like the Quigg fight.

“People hyped that fight up, so everyone thought it would be a war -but I knew it wouldn’t be.

“I said before the Quigg fight that I would hit him in the first round and he wouldn’t want to know and that is what happened.

“He did not want to know until the sixth or seventh round and that is when he started to do something.

“I think a fight with Santa Cruz would be very, very special,” he added.
