Joe Fitzpatrick battles his way to victory in London
Joe Fitzpatrick made it five wins out of five as a professional at the York Hall in London on Thursday night but it was not all plain sailing for the Belfast lightweight.
Fitzpatrick started the contest well but was downed by a shot in the second round by Jordan Ellison.
The Belfast fighter recovered quickly and fought his way to a 38-37 win on points, but it will have been a wake-up call for the Commonwealth Games silver medal winner as he had to work hard for the victory.
Fitzpatrick will be out in action again in Belfast on October 8.
