BOXING: Paddy Barnes is looking to get down to business

Paddy Barnes cannot wait to get down to business against Adrian Dimas Garzon at the Waterfront Hall on Friday night.

Barnes made his debut last November against Stefan Slavchev but the fight turned into a joke as Slavchev was disqualified for mucking about in the fourth round.

And Barnes says he wants to show the Belfast fans what he is really all about.

“I want to go out and show off my skills and show people what boxing skills I have to entertain people.

“I don’t think there is anywhere with a better atmosphere for boxing than here.

“There are some top-class fights like James Tennyson versus Declan Geraghty and Tyrone McKenna up against Jake Hanney.

“The other boxers in Belfast are able to have regular fights and that’s great for Irish boxing, so it would be great if this can continue in the coming months,” he added.

Marc McCullough, Steven Ward, Lewis Crocker, Troy Williamson, Sean Turner, Con Sheehan and Philip Sutcliffe Jnr will also appear on the bill at the Belfast venue.
