BelfastLightweight Paul Hyland Jnr has been handed a golden opportunity to appear on the new Matchroom “Nextgen” format at the York Hall in London on March 17 on Sky Sports.
The concept see’s them giving prospects the chance to shine on TV to gain valuable experience before moving up to Matchroom’s big promotions.
And Hyland Jnr’s manager Mark Dunlop is pleased to give his fighter the chance to show what he has to offer.
“Hylo who is now undefeated in 14 contests has been gathering a huge fanbase around Belfast with his exciting style of fighting that has assisted his rise to number nine in the British ratings and closing in on a British Title shot.
“It is a well received call for Paul, he is a very dedicated and grounded young man who deserves every bit of luck that is coming his way.
Hyland Jnr has faced no fewer that ten opponents with positive records in his first 14 contests, this along with his wealth of top amateur experience has stood him in good stead for the bigger tasks ahead.
No opponent has of yet been named for Paul Hyland Jnr but it should be exciting none the less for Irish fight fans on St Patrick#s Day on the build up to Michael Conlon’s debut in New York.
