American Johnson believes he will beat Tyson Fury at the Odyssey

WARRIOR: Tyson Fury

WARRIOR: Tyson Fury

American Kevin Johnson is certainly talking the talk before he faces Tyson Fury at the Odyssey on December 1.

The big heavyweight believes he will derail the Fury bandwagon when the two of them meet at the Belfast venue.

“I’ll beat Fury so bad he’ll want to retire, everyone will see that on December 1 in Belfast. Fury’s just not in my class,” said Johnson.

And Johnson believes he will overcome Fury thanks to former World heavyweight champion Larry Holmes.

Johnson commented: “I learned from the best working with Holmes at the start of my career. He’s a boxing legend and he taught me everything I know – he taught me all the things that Fury wishes he knew.

“It was a real boxing education working with Larry, he did it all in the ring. So I know that I have the tools to beat Fury, no doubt,” he added.

Also on the bill Stephen Haughian faces John O’Donnell. Joe Hillerby tackles Phil Fury, while Connal Carmichael fights Darren Corbett and John Hutchinson is up against Gerard Healy.

Local fighters Dee Walsh, Paul Quinn, Marc McCullough, Daniel McShane and Matthew Wilton will also be in action.
