ANTHONY Cacace is a name you could be hearing more of in the coming months.

Cacace made it five wins out of five on Saturday night as a professional and he also lifted the Irish Super Featherweight title after stopping Mickey Coveney in the first round of their contest at the National Basketball Arena in Dublin.

The win was even more impressive as Coveney is a durable opponent but Cacace just had too much for him on the night - and more things can be expected from the talented Belfast fighter.

And Cacace was pleased to get his hands on the belt.

“It is great to be Irish champion in only my fifth fight. It was also good to stop him in the first round.

“I am delighted and we will just move on from here to bigger and better things.

“All I can keep doing is winning and that is what I intend to do.” he added.

And Coveney was full of praise for Cacace.

“He is pure class, I’ve never been hit like that before. He has real power.

“That kid is going places and fair play to him, he is special that is for sure,” he said.
