BRIAN Magee looks set to return to the ring in 2013.
Magee - who lost his WBA World title belt to Mikkel Kessler in December - should be back in the ring in the coming months.
The popular southpaw was stopped in the third round of the Kessler fight - but manager Pat Magee says Brian is far from finished.
“Brian will be out again in March or April. In the contract we had with Sauderland before the fight against Kessler, he was guaranteed another fight by them.
“Brian wants to fight on and the fight will be a meaningful international fight, that will keep Brian well up in the WBA rankings.
“Even after the Kessler defeat he is still up there and in the mix. And the Super middleweight is always on the move, so anything is possible.
“Brian was disappointed after the Kessler fight - but he was not hurt or injured in any way, so he is taking a well earned break at the minute - but he wants to continue and he will be out again later this year,” added Magee.
And the manager also took to mention a member of the Magee team - John Rooney, who has not been well.
“We found out that John had a form of cancer in the build-up to the Kessler fight, but thankfully treatment has gone well and he is on the mend.
“He actually got out of hospital on New Year’s Day,” said Magee.
