Eamonn O’Kane believes he has the tools to take care of Kerry Hope at the Odyssey on Saturday night.
O’Kane faces Welshman Hope for the IBF Inter-continental middleweight title.
The winner of the bout will get a top 15 World ranking with the IBF and O’Kane says he is totally focused on beating Hope.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for me. I am not looking past Kerry Hope but is a great chance for me.
“It is great to be fighting for an IBF Inter-continental title, but I would fight for a World title if they asked me.
“I have trained for this like it was a World title. Fighting for this title has given me a bit more drive and I am ready to get in there,” he added.
And O’Kane says working under coach Bernardo Checa is starting to pay-off.
“This is my third fight under Bernardo, The first fight with Bernardo my head was not right, but in the second I won the Irish title after beating Anthony Fitzgerald. I am a work in progress, but I am getting there,” he added.
