Marc McCullough battled bravely to get his hands on the WBO European Featherweight title at the Waterfront Hall on Friday night.

McCullough came through 10 gruelling rounds against Martin Parlagi to seal a unanimous points decision in Belfast – the Shankill Road boxer winning 95-93, 97-91 and 98-92 on the judges’ scorecards.

“It was a tough fight, a real battle. I am just glad I got the decision and claimed the title.”

Conlan dropped his opponent with a right, left hook combination before a big right ended the fight.
