Paddy Gallagher will try and get his hands on the Prizefighter trophy at the York Hall on April 5.
The Commonwealth Games gold medal winner is undefeated so far as a professional and will be looking to shine at the Middleweight event at the London venue.
“It is a huge opportunity for me. I had a chance last year to get on Prizefighter and I didn’t make it.
“If I win it puts me on the map and I am going to London to bring the trophy home,” he added.
Irish fighters Martin Rogan, Eamonn O’Kane and Willie Casey have all already won Prizefighter and Gallagher says he wants to emulate their achievements.
“They have all won it, so that gives me belief that I can get my hands on it as well.
“There is also a huge night of boxing the night before with the Carl Frampton show at the Odyssey. Boxing in Belfast is buzzing and if we all keep winning it will just get bigger and bigger,” he added.
Meanwhile Ryan Burnett has been added to the Carl Frampton show at the Odyssey on April 4.
