Ryan Burnett is looking to send out a message when he takes to the ring at the Odyssey on October 19.
The former Youth Olympic gold medal winner will find on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s IBF World title eliminator against Jeremy Parodi.
And Burnett says he is looking to impress.
“October 19 is a big step for me in my career, to be on a huge Frampton bill in Belfast is fantastic,
“It is great to have TV on board I can get some publicity and hopefully the wider boxing world will find out who Ryan Burnett is. I am looking forward to that.
“It could help kick things on for me. I am hoping people take to me and once people see me fight I am hoping things start to come off for me,” he added.
Burnett is a confident operator, but working with Frampton over the years and particularly of late has given him an added boost.
” I had some great spars with Carl. He patted me on the back after complimented my performance.
“For someone at that level to be saying good things about you is great.
“It is a confidence boost. I believe if I fulfil my potential I can reach the heights Carl has. I want to win at the Odyssey and put on a good performance.”
