Ryan Burnett is looking to do a demolition job on his opponent at the Odyssey Arena on Friday night.
Belfast boy Burnett is out to impress on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s Final Elimiantor for the WBC World title against Hugo Cazares.
Burnett – who is trained Ricky Hatton – faces Stefan Slavchev at the Belfast venue.
And Burnett says he wants to impress but he will be sticking to orders.
“I want to win, but I am not going in there to start throwing bombs. I want to be smart and use the skills Ricky and I have been working on in training.
“We have looked at Slavchev and we have tactics put in place for him. He lost to Haroon Khan on points and I will be looking to see him off,” he added.
Belfast brothers Sonny and Anthony Upton are also trained in Manchester by Hatton and Burnett says their is a close bond in the camp.
“Yes, we all get on and we support each other, but we also push each other on. We are all wanting to go as far as we can and we are all focused and determined to do well,” he added.
And Burnett says he cannot wait to get in to the ring at the Odyssey.
“It is great to be back at the Odyssey and fighting in front of a huge home crowd.
“I enjoyed my last outing at the Odyssey and I will be looking to improve and better that performance.
“A few weeks ago I was supposed to be out in Dublin – but I had to withdraw with a hand injury, so I am eager to go out and put on a good performance at the Odyssey.”
