Carl Frampton could be heading to the home of Ulster Rugby for a World title tilt.
The Tigers Bay Super-bantamweight stopped Jeremy Parodi in the sixth round of their IBF World title eliminator in a sold-out Odyssey Arena on Saturday night.
Nearly 9000 fans were packed into the venue, and Frampton’s manager Barry McGuigan believes the Odyssey will not be big enough if ‘The Jackal’ gets a shot at a World title next year.
“I know the business and he will be a superstar,” McGuigan said.
“You are talking about the Floyd Mayweathers and the Andre Wards, but Carl is a more exciting fighter than all of these guys because he goes and gets them. I’m telling you that he’s going to be a Box Office fighter.
“Ravenhill is definitely an option – we can go outdoors.
“We also want to go to Madison Square Garden and bring this kid to Vegas because I think that’s where he can be a superstar.
“They’re going to love him out there as well.”
