Mark Dunlop is looking forward to unleashing his troops at the Devenish Complex on May 10.

Dunlop will have nine fights on the packed card that night and he says boxing is buzzing in Belfast at the minute due to the success of Carl Frampton.

“Cyclone Promotions, Alio Wilton and myself are all putting on shows at the minute and we are giving fighters here a chance to show what they can do.

“I really believe that Belfast is becoming the boxing capital of Britain. It used to be London and then Manchester - but now I think we are right up there with the best of them,” he added.

James Tennyson, Paul Hyland jnr, Dee Walsh and Alan Donnellan will all appear on the show. They are also managed by Dunlop and he believes they have the potential to go far.

“Tennyson will face Ian Bailey on the night and he is looking to getting back to winning ways.James and another guy I manage Daniel McShane are both going very well, but they are still very young.

“Walsh is a talented boy who is back after a lay-off and Hyland will be making his debut on the night.

“Luke Wilton, Matthew Wilton, John Hutchinson, Derek Potter and Anthony Upton will also be on the bill.

“I am just back here after 23 years away and we are looking to give these guys a chance. It is up to them to take it,” he added.
