Young Chloe Watson emerged a double winner in the Irish Women’s Indoor Bowling Association’s National Championships at Ballybrakes Community Stadium.
The 16 year old battled her way through to final finals and duly walked away with the Under-25 singles and the triples trophies.
Watson defeated her junior international team-mate Courtney Meneely to win the junior title.
She then teamed up with the Belfast colleagues Cliodhna Eadie and Sandra Bailie to defeat the Ballybrakes combination, skipped by Jennifer Dowds, 22-13 in the final of the triples.
Meanwhile, Dessa Baird is the new Irish Women’s Indoor singles champion.
The Ballybrakes Community Stadium player picked up the title for the first time following a nerve-tingling last end 21-20 win over County Antrim’s Anne Craig in a gripping final at Ballymoney.
Meanwhile, Oriel will face North West in the final of the Irish Indoor Bowling Association’s Men’s Inter-zone Championship.
Oriel defeated Western at the weekend to cement their spot, while North West beat of the challenge of Foyle.
