The Queensway club won the under-15 competition by defeating neighbours Lisburn by 26 runs at Wallace Park.

Batting first, Derriaghy made an impressive 142 for six, with Reece Malone making a superb 65 and there was a good contribution from Rory Brown, who made 21.

The pick of the Lisburn bowlers was Michael Glass who claimed two for 21.

Lisburn made a valiant attempt to chase down the target. Eddie Kyle (24), Joel Dundas (23), Michael Glass (20) and Jude Dillon (20) were all in the runs but the host club were eventually dismissed for 116.

The pick of the Derriaghy bowlers was Jamie White, who took four for 30 and Johnny Lynch claimed two for 22

Derriaghy coach Wayne Hughes played in the team the last time Derriaghy won the trophy back in 2006.
