Europe staged an amazing comeback to win the Ryder Cup last night.
Jose Maria Olazabal’s side won eight of the 12 singles matches as they foughtback to beat the United States 14½-13½ to retain the Cup.
Germany’s Martin Kaymer sank the winning putt from six feet on the 18th to claim victory.
Europe, who started the day 10-6 down, won the first five singles matches with Luke Donald, Ian Poulter, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Paul Lawrie triumphant.
Three wins put the US 12-11 up but Lee Westwood and Sergio Garcia picked up crucial points before the late drama.
