Crusaders have completed the signing of Glentoran midfielder Richard Clarke.
Clarke has agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Crues after securing his release from the Oval.
The Seaview club had been tracking the former Newry City midfielder during the transfer window, and on Thursday night manager Stephen Baxter finally got his man.
“I am delighted to get Richard on board,” Baxter said.
“We had been looking at Richard during this window and thankfully we have managed to bring him to the club.
“He is a quality player. He is a great technician and has an eye for goal. He has proved himself in the Irish League.
“We are delighted to give him the opportunity to shine at Crusaders, and he is a brilliant acquisition.”
Clarke could be unveiled before Saturday’s League Cup final showdown with Cliftonville at Solitude.
The 28-year-old will not feature in the showpiece decider as he is cup-tied.
Clarke will be available for Crusaders’ next Premiership game which will be away to Ballinamallard United on February 1.
