Lindsay has been ruled out of the massive clash with Crusaders after being sent off during Saturday’s Danske Bank Premiership victory over Coleraine.

Kevin Braniff bagged the winning goal after 60 minutes, but Lindsay’s dismissal took the gloss off the triumph.

It happened after the defender handled the ball inside his own box in the 83rd minute.

Referee Ray Hetherington showed Lindsay a second yellow card before awarding the Bannsiders a penalty, but James McLaughlin’s attempt was saved by Jonny Tuffey.

“It is devastating news for Kris,” Hamilton said.

“He is such an influential player for us, and has so much experience.

“For him to miss Friday’s semi-final is gutting for the player.”
