David Jeffrey has turned his “full focus” to this season’s title race after Linfield were knocked out of the Irish Cup last week.
The Blues crashed out at the sixth round as Ballymena United claimed a 2-1 victory at Windsor Park.
Linfield still harbour silverware hopes, with next month’s County Antrim Shield final offering up the first chance of success.
But determined boss Jeffrey has made no secret of the club’s primary target this season – the Premiership title.
Speak ahead of Saturday’s game with Ballinamallard – where there is a 10.30am pitch inspection at Windsor Park – Jeffrey said: “Last week’s cup defeat is gone now – we are over it.
“We are now focused totally on trying to win the Irish League.
“Last season we were nowhere in the title race but this year, the challenge is there for the players, the staff, the management and of course, the supporters to give their all over the remaining 11 league games to try and win the league title.”
