Andy Hunter hopes Ards’ return to Clandeboye Park will inject some fresh impetus into the club’s season.
Niall Currie’s side are preparing for their first outing at the revamped stadium with Portadown the visitors on Saturday.
It will also be the first Danske Bank Premiership game to be played on the new 3g surface.
Ards have played four ‘home’ games already this season, all at Ballyclare Comrades’ Dixon Park home – claiming two wins.
Experienced defender Hunter hopes playing at Clandeboye will spur the basement battlers on for the remainder of the campaign.
“The whole club is looking forward to getting back to Clandeboye,” he said.
“We played there last season so it will be nice to get back. Hopefully we can attract a few more fans out, and that will give us a lift.
“Our fans have been great this season, even when we were playing at Dixon Park.
“But hopefully a few more will come out and give us their support.”
